Cannes Festival 2012

We love film festivals!
Not only for the film, but also for the fashion!
Here's the latest fashion load down

Bérénice Béjo in a Prada gown, looking like a refreshing vision

Jessica Chastain glistening in Gucci... but not in a good way..
why do I keep seeing a shining bulge in the middle...
Remind me never to let my tummy shine
Channelling old Hollywood glamour is much much sexier

Great Gatsby,
sparkling Gucci working its magic on Gemma Arterton

Why am I thinking of the Tin Man when I see this?
Or maybe Bronze woman it should be?!?
Tilda Swinton

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous
Similar shade but so much softer
It's not an easy retro dress to carry off,
but model Barbara Palvin did it beautifully

You'll never be able to guess her age.
Jane Fonda, looking good at 75!
Gasp!

Lovely contrast in the shoes!
 And the assymetrical skirt!
Karen Gillan

Wow! Diane Kruger Pastel princess
It's like she just walked out from the waters
Now a gladiator princess!

Eva Longoria swept us all with this luscious lace gown and many of her other gowns
Wow! I can't get enough of her ensembles

It's lovely to see a familar face at Cannes.
Even better to see a beautiful gown on Li Bing Bing

Yet another familiar face.. Fan Bing Bing
Striking an immaculate Ice Princess pose

I love their Chinese dramas but why why why do they look drappy here?
Must be the photography that makes them look like richer cousins of getai
Yang Mi and Chen Tingjia

How adorable summer and refreshingly cute!
Freida Pinto looked like a happy sailor in Salvatore Ferragamo cropped halter top and skirt

How to Peplum

The word is out on the streets that Peplum is the next big things for the ladies.

Peplum?!? But that would make my back region look even bigger than it already is!
No way, am I going to wear that!

But that's the marvellous thing about peplum!
It is intended to celebrate the waist-to-hip curve of feminity, so what's there to be ashamed of?
Flaunt it!
Even the stars are wearing it, what's there to be afraid of?
Especially when you will get a smaller waist because of it!

If skirts are a little too much for you to carry of with their emphasis on the derriere.
Get a peplum top to pair with straight-cut fitting pants and heels,
and you will still hit the right curves!

It's pencil skirt with flare. Vintage, classic, feminine.
You'll get to be a real aristocrat.
What's not to love?

Star Awards 2012

It's time for Singapore's Oscars! And time for fashion verdict!

Constance Song looks like hot stuff in this voluptuous black gown that truly accentuate her womanly curves, and she carried it off magnificently. Except, is it me, or does her face look a shade paler than her body?

Joanne Peh is once again in yet another daringly awful dresses. The peekaboo effect leaves nothing to be desired, and as my dad always goes " Did she run out of cloth?"

Rebecca Lin. Simple hairdo, simple lace fuchsia dress. When a girl has what it takes, she doesn't need to take much. Effortless elegance. (Take a note here Joanne)

HOT OR NOT: Star Awards 2012 Show 2
Belinda Lee looks va va vroom in this metallic chain piece. It took lotsa guts and discomfort to go body con in this with nothing in between. But why do I think of F1 ladies?!

Wow. Rui en simply ooze Hollywood glamour in this simple black piece from Dsquared.

HOT OR NOT: Star Awards 2012 Show 2 What was she thinking when she chose this Chanel dress? I really dunno. She must have taken a dive into the deep blue ocean for some pearls. Well.. the ocean theme is pretty hot this season

HOT OR NOT: Star Awards 2012 Show 2

Dignified princess -- quiet, reserve, classy and elegant. Everything a princess should be. The wave line corset and the princess tulle skirt suits her to a T.

Is it me, or do starlets always look better in show 1?

Ann Kok shows what she is made of. Wow. Reminds me of the see-through black top with hot green shorts of a long ago past

Greek goddess - without looking lost in pearl and swirls, and cutting the most elegant, petite figure.

Classy Rocker Chic , with the usual stern face to boot.

Hot Chilli Padi - Bralet, Chilli prints and hot red hair to spice things up!

My favourite of both award shows. Neon Yellow-green --  looking fresh and charming. That's how sweet young things like Kimberly should dress -- their age. Careful, it doesn't start to be come jaded (pun intended) and tired-looking as you sink your feet into the industry.

Till the next Star Awards!
